Twenty-seventh Awesome Bit

Another Christmas gift from Teresa (this past Christmas) - I love this Genesis box set! It’s kinda hard to argue the value of what you get with Genesis 1976-1982 - complete remasters of every album, both in CD and 5.1 DVD-Audio, video interviews with each band member regarding each album, other video goodies and an extra CD & DVD of songs from the era not found on albums. Not sure when I’m going to get around to 1983-1996, but I’m anxiously waiting for 1970-1976.

  1. Well, you know my opinion of it. Haven’t gotten around to 83-96 yet myself. I’d love to have a better sounding copy of “Genesis” - my current copy is the old, old CD issue that sounds like it was transferred from an old cassette to digital via a pair of $2 cables. Other than that, yeah, sure, I should probably have a copy of “Invisible Touch”. Tonightx3 is a classic. Don’t care much about the other two, I’m afraid.

As for the Early Years, the current estimate is September, but then again they’ve been pushing this back for, oh, years now. I still hold out hope that its release will coincide with some exciting announcement. I mean, after all, 2009 is the 35th anniversary of The Lamb… hmm.
