Worst… Toast… Ever…
So as I’m this close to throwing my Treo across the f’in’ room, what looks to be a really funny movie just came on: Seeing Other People. I’m totally wiped from wrestling with why my Treo has all of a sudden decided not to sync with my PowerBook, so I’m thinking I’m going to turn in instead of staying up and watching it. Definitely looks like a good rental.
For instance, it gives a great example of things not to say during a toast. The particular toast in the movie was for an engagement party, but I’m guessing, it’s equally bad form for a toast for any occasion. Three words: Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
That said, if anyone does manage to slip that into their toast to Sean and his bride-to-be during the reception, you get major bonus points.

two words… missing sync.

Thanks Bas, but I’m already using Missing Sync. Had it all set up and humming along. Now nothing (although I haven’t tried anything yet today). I’m avoiding getting in the middle of anything right now because (a) I want to be relaxing not getting pissed off on my pre-job-start break and (b) my Palm Desktop installer CD is at home. When I get home, I’ll try reinstalling everything and if still nothing, I’ll call Mark/Space as they’re the only one of the 3 involved companies gives a rat’s ass about Mac support.

hrm… i suddenly worried that it was the newly-released 4.0.6 version of missing sync that was doing you in, i just fired up my treo and it’s syncing fine. not to state the obvious, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling MS? you should need your palm desktop CD at all.

Thanks for the thought Bas - I was thinking of just starting from scratch (Palm Desktop, then Missing Sync). Get this though - it’s working now. It’s not perfect, so I might still reinstall completely. I’m just at a loss over the whole thing…
