Worst… Toast… Ever…

So as I’m this close to throwing my Treo across the f’in’ room, what looks to be a really funny movie just came on: Seeing Other People. I’m totally wiped from wrestling with why my Treo has all of a sudden decided not to sync with my PowerBook, so I’m thinking I’m going to turn in instead of staying up and watching it. Definitely looks like a good rental.

For instance, it gives a great example of things not to say during a toast. The particular toast in the movie was for an engagement party, but I’m guessing, it’s equally bad form for a toast for any occasion. Three words: Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

That said, if anyone does manage to slip that into their toast to Sean and his bride-to-be during the reception, you get major bonus points.

EasyEnvelopes

Just got an email from Ambrosia Software announcing a cool new widget they just released, EasyEnvelopes. Kinda bucking the trend of Apple’s widget dictum of “Find Out Stuff”, it looks to be a handy little thing if you find yourself printing envelopes every now & again…

Today was my last day at Mountain Hardwear and the outdoor industry in general. I’m extremely ecstatic to say that I’ve been offered a similar position that I held at ReplayTV at a PC components company down in Fremont by the name of Antec. After almost 3 years at Mountain Hardwear and almost 5 out of the tech industry - a period in my life that many of you know has been extremely difficult & humbling for me - I have finally returned to the industry that feels like home to me.

Central Valley

It’s dawn and I’m sitting in an International-House-of-Pancakes-in-the-middle-of-nowhere (#0788), pondering that if the tone of the day is set at breakfast, surely the word of the day must be “congealed”.

I got up this morning at 4 because I was down in Ojai for a wedding this weekend, but nobody was willing to take my 10am shift this morning. On that note, I should be getting back on the road and praying that my digestive tract doesn’t take issue with anything I just forced into it…

How f’in’ cool is this?!?

OK, as I sit here waiting to meet up with a friend, I’m checking my email and posting to my blog. Nerdvana doesn’t get much better than this…

So needless to say, the Treo thing is working out better than anticipated. Now if I could only get the email app to automagically download, I’ll be stoked and not reminiscing my old Blackberry at all!
